This type of imagery is used when a 3D scan of nerve pathways, bone, soft tissues, and teeth are necessary. In order to be prepared for certain surgical procedures, the CT provides more information from a highly detailed scan than a traditional X-ray would. The Dental Cone Beam CT uses a cone shaped X-ray beam to capture high quality images that can create a 3D map of your teeth.
